The Pussycat Dolls- Doll Domination

With so many different ensemble groups vying for that all-important top spot on the pop music charts, The Pussycat Dolls faced a formidable task with their second release Doll Domination. And true to its name, this album holds the promise to help these ladies avoid the sophomore slump.
Of course, having multi-award-winning producer Timbaland at the helm sure didn’t hurt their chances of having a knockout album, and neither did their decision to release “When I Grow Up” as the lead-off single, with its techno-savvy groove and hook-laden structure. There’s even a slight Gwen Stefani influence intertwined in the pre-chorus.
The second track, “Bottle Pop,” reunites Nicole Scherzinger and the girls with their “Buttons” duet partner Snoop Dogg on a club-ready dance track produced by Fernando Garibay, who also worked on Paris Hilton’s “Stars are Blind” as well as multiple other noteworthy tracks.
“Whatcha Think About That” features hip-hop living legend Missy Elliot on a head-bobbing, multi-textured hit-waiting-to-happen, and “Happily Never After” is the requisite breakup song that will have prom-goers slow dancing in no time.
From start to finish, it’s clear that The Pussycat Dolls did their homework in finding a catalog of songs capable of another platinum ranking. While it may not change your life, Doll Domination will make you wanna get up and move.
